A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the investment banking group ‘‘WOOD & Company’’, the press service of the Ministry reports.
Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and the company’s top management took part in the talks. The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the areas of financial markets, infrastructure, real estate, and energy.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Prague, ‘‘WOOD & Company’’ is the largest independent brokerage firm in Central and Eastern Europe, specializing in investment advisory, equity and bond placements, as well as mergers and acquisitions (M&A) support.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to jointly develop potential projects and support Uzbek companies in accessing international capital markets, including the preparation and execution of initial public offerings (IPOs).
