The President of Uzbekistan received the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States

On November 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, who arrived in our country to participate in the International Forum on Multimodal Transport, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the head of state.

The parties discussed the further expansion of cooperation within the Organization, taking into account the Council’s growing role and active participation in coordinating and promoting multilateral initiatives.

Special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the strategic proposals put forward by Uzbekistan at this year’s Organization of Turkic States summits in Budapest and Gabala.

The President of our country proposed developing a roadmap to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Council of Elders and to promote joint projects aimed at preserving national traditions, spiritual heritage, and cultural unity of the Turkic peoples.
