Following the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey signed a Joint Statement and a Decision on Cooperation Mechanisms within the Framework of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the press service of the head of our state reports.
Furthermore, a package of bilateral documents was signed covering a wide range of areas of multifaceted partnership. These include:
– Intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in healthcare, education, and military medicine;
– Economic and financial cooperation;
– Cooperation in the mining industry;
– Cooperation on the development of international transport corridors;
– Cooperation in special economic zones;
– Cooperation and information exchange in nuclear safety, physical security, safeguards, and radiation protection;
– Cooperation in facilitating migration and the return of citizens to their countries;
– On cooperation between the Committee for Religious Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey;
– Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2026-2027;
– Protocol between the Agency for the Development of Light Industry of Uzbekistan and the Council of Higher Education of Turkey;
– Cultural Cooperation Plan for 2026-2027.
