On March 11, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Bora Koçak, Head of the Automotive Division of Anadolu Group, the press service of the Ministry reports.
The automotive division of the Turkish holding Anadolu Group manufactures buses, midibuses and light trucks at its plant in Kocaeli with an annual production capacity of around 4,000 units. The company exports its products to more than 40-45 countries and is one of the largest exporters of midibuses in Türkiye. The company has also acquired a 75.2% stake in the bus and truck manufacturer SamAuto.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current performance of SamAuto as well as prospective areas for its further development. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects in the automotive industry.
The sides also reviewed in detail the next steps for developing production, including plans to modernize the enterprise, expand production capacity and launch new types of products based on SamAuto.
