On May 14, the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with representatives from the Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the press service of the Ministry reports.
During the dialogue, the Pakistani delegation was briefed in detail on the favorable investment climate established in Uzbekistan for foreign investors. Special emphasis was placed on tax and customs preferences, modern infrastructure, and existing mechanisms designed to protect the rights and interests of businesses.
The Pakistani entrepreneurs highlighted the dynamic growth of bilateral trade and economic relations in recent years. The textile and leather industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and electrical engineering were identified as the most promising sectors for launching joint projects.
Following the negotiations, the parties outlined specific steps to increase mutual trade volumes and transition toward the practical implementation of the proposed investment initiatives.
