The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade met with the Head of the Islamic Development Bank Regional Hub in Almaty

On May 21 of this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with Ali Muhammad Khan, Head of the Islamic Development Bank Regional Hub in Almaty, the press service of the MIIT reports.

The meeting concluded a three-day IsDB mission to Uzbekistan, during which the delegation reviewed ongoing projects, strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and current programs. The parties discussed the status of current joint operations and outlined future cooperation.

Uzbekistan’s portfolio with the IsDB Group remains one of the most dynamic in the region, exceeding $5 billion. Additionally, 20 new pipeline projects valued at $3 billion are under consideration across key sectors. The bilateral partnership spans critical areas, including transport infrastructure, energy, water resource management, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the Pipeline Investment Program, establishing the framework of projects that will drive the new country partnership strategy.
