On May 22, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by Minister of Government Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, the press service of the head of our state reports.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed warm greetings to the head of state from UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the country and Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, and Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan.
The parties discussed current aspects of further expanding Uzbek-UAE multifaceted cooperation, primarily in improving the efficiency of public administration and ensuring the effectiveness of ongoing reforms in this area.
The dynamic development of friendly relations and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE, as well as the strengthening of practical cooperation in priority areas, were noted with deep satisfaction.
A joint roadmap, envisaging cooperation in 10 key areas for improving public service mechanisms, is being consistently implemented. UAE best practices in reducing bureaucracy are being implemented. A project office has been launched as part of the relevant program.
The results of the “Five Million Leaders of Artificial Intelligence” educational program, which has reached over one million people to date, were also noted.
An awards ceremony for the winners of the “Evaluation of the Performance of Government Agencies” project will be held today. Interest was expressed in further expanding the reach of this initiative, including by involving representatives of local governments.
Plans for the joint launch of a nationwide reading movement were discussed.
An agreement was reached on the further implementation of projects aimed at supporting and developing youth, holding joint development forums, and promoting the preparation of strategic and conceptual documents aimed at promoting the development of Uzbekistan.
