Chinese investors intend to implement projects in Uzbekistan in the construction and textile industries

Diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai held talks in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, with the leadership of the Chinese companies Zicheng United Construction Group Co., Ltd. and Jiaxing Houbang Import and Export Co., Ltd., the correspondent of “Dunyo” News Agency reports.

During the meetings, the Chinese partners were presented with the favorable investment environment created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, a wide range of incentives, and the country’s infrastructure advantages.

Following the talks, and given the rapid urbanization process in Uzbekistan, Jiang Guohua, head of Zicheng United, a major Chinese engineering and construction group, expressed interest in opening a branch in the country and agreed to visit Uzbekistan in June-July of this year.

Xu Wei, CEO of Jiaxing Houbang, a company specializing in international textile and garment trade, also noted reforms in Uzbekistan’s light industry and expressed willingness to consider the possibility of building a large textile plant in the country. An agreement was also reached to organize his practical visit to Uzbekistan later this year.
