Negotiations were held in Tashkent between Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade and Minister of Economy and Industry of the Syrian Arab Republic

On September 18, negotiations were held in Tashkent between Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and Minister of Economy and Industry of the Syrian Arab Republic Muhammad Nidal al-Shaar, the press service of the MIIT reports.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum on the establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Committee. To facilitate the implementation of the agreements reached, the parties agreed to develop a Roadmap for 2026–2028.

In addition, the parties initiated the official launch of the Uzbekistan–Syria Business Council. Practical discussions on new initiatives will continue within the framework of a business forum bringing together entrepreneurs from both countries.
