The Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade participated in the Uzbekistan–China Interregional Trade and Economic Forum

On September 26, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov participated in the Uzbekistan–China Interregional Trade and Economic Forum held in Nukus and organized by MIIT jointly with the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the press service of the MIIT reports.

The forum brought together around 400 representatives of government agencies and business communities from both countries. Participants included a delegation from Shaanxi Province, representatives of SilkRoad Industrial Cooperation Center, Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group, and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, among others.

Chinese partners were presented with Karakalpakstan’s investment potential, regional resources, incentives for investors, and promising projects. The parties discussed expanding cooperation in mining, geology, IT, and agriculture.

As a result of the forum, a number of agreements totalling over $400 million were signed across these and other priority areas.
