The President of Uzbekistan advocated for expanding practical partnership with Laos

On October 15, a meeting took place in Baku between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, the press service of the head of our state reports.

Discussions focused on elevating Uzbek-Lao relations to a new level.

Priorities identified included increasing mutual trade, fostering business ties, and advancing joint projects in sectors such as transport, logistics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and tourism.

The importance of expanding the legal framework for trade and economic cooperation, as well as intensifying educational and cultural exchanges, was emphasized.

The leaders also exchanged views on pressing issues regarding the regional and international agenda.
