Issues concerning the further development of Uzbek-Vietnamese relations were discussed

On the sidelines of the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The two sides discussed practical aspects of strengthening and further expanding mutually beneficial ties between their countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Vietnamese delegation conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of Vietnam, to the leader of Uzbekistan.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Uzbek-Vietnamese relations, noting the steady growth in trade turnover and regular contacts at various levels.

They highlighted significant opportunities for implementing joint projects in sectors such as petrochemicals, electrical engineering, textiles, and agriculture.

The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
