The delegation led by the head of MIIT Laziz Kudratov continues its work in Budapest

A delegation led by the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, continues its working visit to Budapest to advance investment, trade-economic, and industrial cooperation with Hungary, the press service of the Ministry reports.

From May 17 to 19, a series of meetings were held with the heads of major Hungarian companies that are market leaders in Eastern Europe across various sectors, including industrial zone management and development, wholesale and retail trade networks, infrastructure and road construction, digitalization, energy, electrical equipment manufacturing, and project financing.

During these meetings, which also included representatives of Uzbekistan’s business community, agreements were reached on the implementation of joint investment projects. These projects will involve direct investments, as well as the transfer of advanced expertise and technology. For several initiatives aimed at the production of high value-added and in-demand goods with potential preferential export to promising markets, specific measures for localizing production within special industrial zones at early implementation stages were agreed upon.

The agreements reached will form the foundation for a comprehensive Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation program. This program will assign dedicated project managers and introduce monitoring mechanisms to ensure effective execution at each stage of the projects.
