Economic ties between Uzbekistan and Germany are strengthening

As the part of the Uzbek-German business forum, Arton and Wehrhahn Gmbh signed a contract for the supply of German production lines for two new plants for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.

On May 2, this year, representatives of Arton and Wehrhahn GmbH met at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Berlin, at which a contract was signed for the supply of German production lines for two new plants for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete in the cities of Urgench and Andijan, the delivery of the production line of which will be carried out in 2023, and the launch is scheduled for the end of 2024. Representatives of the companies also signed a memorandum of intent for the construction of two new factories in the cities of Navoi and Termez, with the supply of a production line and the launch of factories in 2024-2025.

The production capacity of the plant in the city of Andijan will be 600,000 m3 per year, as well as 300,000 m3 in the city of Urgench, with a total cost of 46 million euros. New plants for the production of aerated concrete in the cities of Termez and Navoi will also be equipped with German production lines.

An aerated concrete plant with a production capacity of 300,000 m3/year will be built in the city of Termez, and an aerated concrete plant with a production capacity of 600,000 m3/year and a fiber cement panel plant with a production capacity of 2,250,000 m2/year will be built in the city of Navoi. The total cost of the memorandum of intent is 75 million euros.

The signing of the memorandum was attended by the chief executives of the companies: President of Wehrhahn Gmbh, Mr. Dr. Klaus Bonemann, General Director of Arton Group of Companies, Mr. Aripov Z.Z. This contract is an important step to strengthen economic ties between Uzbekistan and Germany, and also contributes to the development of the manufacturing industry in Uzbekistan.
