At the end of bilateral negotiations, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov took part in the launch ceremony of major cooperation projects, the press service of the head of our state reports.
In particular, a project has been launched for the construction of two solar power plants with a total capacity of 400 megawatts in the Fergana and Namangan regions. It is envisaged that the electricity generated at these stations will be supplied to the Kyrgyz Republic.
A plant for the production of modern passenger cars and commercial vehicles was commissioned in the Chui region. In particular, cars of the ‘‘Cobalt’’, ‘‘Onyx’’ and ‘‘Tracker’’ brands, as well as trucks, will be produced.
The production of sewing, knitwear and linens has also started in the city of Kara-Balta. Modern technological equipment was supplied and installed at the enterprise.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan expressed confidence that these projects will contribute to the expansion of mutually beneficial practical cooperation between our countries.
