What sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan attract foreign investors the most?

Over 30% of enterprises with foreign capital created in Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2023 are in the field of trade, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the number of operating enterprises in the country with the participation of foreign capital has reached 15,801, of which 6,419 are joint ventures and 9,382 foreign ones.

By industry:

trade – 4818;

industry – 4341;

construction – 1270;

agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 770;

accommodation and catering services – 644;

information and communication – 759;

transportation and storage – 459;

health care and social services – 228;

other areas – 2512.
