An investor from China plans to launch a large leather processing project in Uzbekistan, Spot reports with reference to the press service of “Uzcharmsanoat”.
On April 28, the founder of Uychi Chemicals, Han Naiqing, met with the leadership of the association. The parties held negotiations on the organizational and practical aspects of the implementation of the investment project.
Within its framework, it is planned to organize a complete chain of leather production in the Tashkent region, as well as to organize the preparation of raw materials. The initial cost of the project is estimated at $8 million.
In addition, the participants discussed the issues of increasing the production capacity for the production of finished leather, semi-finished leather products and their export.
At the end of March, the South Korean JM proposed to organize a joint venture for the production of leather goods in the capital region. It is expected that its products will be used for interior trim of Hyundai, Kia, Toyota cars.
