With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a trip was organized for representatives of such large Kuwaiti companies as ‘‘AlJaber Group Holding’’, ‘‘Biomedix Medical Group Co.’’, ‘‘Advanced Medical German Co.’’, ‘‘Gulf Care General Trade.Co’’ (GCS) to the Syrdarya region, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, during the trip, separate meetings were held with the Deputy Khokim of the Syrdarya region for trade and economic issues Babur Khodjamov and the Khokim of the Bayaut district Dilfuza Uralova.
During the negotiations, Kuwaiti investors were provided with information about the investment environment created for foreign investors in the Syrdarya region, the state of the existing infrastructure in the region and new projects being implemented.
The socio-economic potential of the Syrdarya region was covered in detail in terms of tourism and agriculture, which are the main driver industries. Particular attention was paid to current work and new projects in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals.
Also during the negotiations, the possibility of implementing joint projects in the direction of building multi-storey buildings, creating service centers, creating a medical laboratory, opening ecotourism enterprises and growing agricultural products in the center of the Bayaut district was discussed.
Dilfuza Uralova noted that the implementation of promising projects with foreign investors would be beneficial to both parties, and gave officials the relevant tasks to work out the technical and economic aspects of their implementation with the company’s specialists.
After this, negotiations were organized between the parties in the G2B and B2B formats. In them, representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Kuwait discussed the practical aspects of future partnership.
Representatives of Kuwait also got acquainted with the potential of the Bayaut district and the proposed projects.
