Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the head of the Kyrgyz enterprise ‘‘Kiyiz Group’’ Sardor Salimov, specializing in the production of felt products, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation were discussed, including the possibility of implementing joint projects with entrepreneurs from the Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan, as well as the prospects for organizing a branch of ‘‘Kiyiz Group’’ in Uzbekistan. Particular attention was paid to the issues of adapting products to national culture and values, in order to expand their attractiveness for the local market.
The management of ‘‘Kiyiz Group’’ expressed high appreciation for the policy of supporting entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, including the creation of a favorable investment climate and simplification of business conditions, which helps to attract foreign investment.
As part of the visit to the enterprise, the diplomats got acquainted with the production process, raw material base and the exposition of finished products of ‘‘Kiyiz Group’’. It was noted that the enterprise, founded in 2015 in the city of Osh, produces more than 50 types of felt products and souvenirs. The enterprise’s products are in growing demand due to their compliance with environmental standards, which contributes to an increase in production volumes.
Taking into account the availability of a sufficient raw material base for the production of felt products in Uzbekistan, as well as the high interest in these products from foreign tourists, which can contribute to the development of tourism and the formation of a unique environmental brand, the parties reached an agreement to open a branch of the enterprise in Uzbekistan. The implementation of this project will contribute to the creation of new jobs and an increase in export volumes.
