The Ministry of Investments of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the delegation of ‘‘Citigroup’’ to strengthen strategic cooperation.

On June 25, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation from ‘‘Citigroup’’, led by the company’s Chief Client Officer, David Livingstone, the press service of the Ministry reports.

‘‘Citigroup’’ is one of the world’s leading financial corporations with significant experience in emerging markets. Cooperation with such institutions aligns with the strategic objective of establishing Uzbekistan as a regional financial hub.

The parties discussed issues related to the further development of cooperation in areas such as attracting investment, supporting exports, and developing projects based on public-private partnerships.

It was noted that ‘‘Citigroup’’ intends to open its representative office in Tashkent in the near future — an important step towards expanding cooperation on all ongoing projects.
