Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, held a meeting in Tashkent with Bhargav Dasgupta, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank

On June 16 of this year, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, held a meeting in Tashkent with Bhargav Dasgupta, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the press service of the MIIT reports.

The parties discussed the outcomes and future prospects of the 30-year strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and ADB. Particular attention was given to projects focused on the transition to a green economy, private sector development, human capital enhancement, and modernization of financial markets.

Joint initiatives planned for 2025 were reviewed, including the expansion of non-sovereign financing, development of public-private partnership (PPP) projects, establishment of eco-industrial zones and innovative production facilities, and export support measures.

Special attention was devoted to the implementation of a joint program to support small businesses.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and supporting ADB’s market-based approaches in project implementation across Uzbekistan.
