On June 20, 2025, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took part in events in Baku aimed at expanding and deepening bilateral trade, economic, and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the press service of the Ministry reports.
As part of the business program, the 14th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, along with the 3rd Forum of the Regions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, which brought together over 50 representatives from the business communities of both countries.
Key agreed measures included the adoption of a Joint Action Plan to increase bilateral trade volume, the approval of the Industrial Cooperation Program for 2025–2026, the establishment of a two-year schedule of mutual trade missions, among other initiatives.
Additionally, trade houses and showrooms will be opened in Tashkent and Baku, a joint Business Council will be established, and steps will be taken to develop interregional transport corridors and strengthen cooperation in sericulture, cotton production, and dairy processing.
