Privatization of the Kyzylkum phosphorite complex begins

The State Assets Management Agency has begun accepting an application for the privatization of the Kyzylkum Phosphorite Complex, Spot reports.

The state intends to sell a 100% stake in an enterprise for the processing of phosphorite ores. Orion Capital Group acts as a consultant on the transaction.

Applicants are invited to submit an Express of Interest application. It is required to attach the necessary information, including financial statements for 3 years.

Applications are accepted by email addresses abdikali@ocapr.com and office@ocapr.com. The deadline is May 5, 18:00 Tashkent time.

Applicants admitted to the next stage will receive an invitation to submit a non-binding proposal. They will also sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA), after which they will have access to detailed information about the asset.

About company:

  • LLC “Kyzylkum Phosphorite Complex” is located in the Kanimekh district of the Navoi region.
  • The workshop was established in 1998 for the processing and enrichment of phosphorite raw materials obtained at the Tashkura mine of the Jeroy-Sardarin deposit.
  • The enterprise can produce up to 716,000 tons of phosphorite concentrate and phosphate rock per year.

The President decided to privatize the complex, along with a number of other enterprises in the chemical industry, in October 2022. According to the resolution, it was supposed to sell the asset before the end of June.
