The plans for the cooperation with JETRO have been defined

As part of the visit to Japan, the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan reports. The meeting was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan.

This visit was carried out within the framework of the project “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship in the Fergana Valley” implemented with the participation of the World Bank.

JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) is an organization of the Japanese government that helps develop trade and investment relations between Japan and other countries. It provides services in business cooperation, investment, export-import and market analysis. Through the office in Tashkent, entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan have the opportunity to establish cooperation with Japan.

The meeting provided detailed information about the services provided by JETRO to entrepreneurs and the new electronic platform “e-Venue”. The role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and regional business incubators in expanding trade and economic cooperation with Japan was also discussed.

The parties highly appreciated the work carried out on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and JETRO and considered the possibilities of further activating joint initiatives.

It was also agreed to organize presentations and B2B meetings with the participation of entrepreneurs from Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan within the framework of the international conference “Supporting START-UP Entrepreneurship: Regional Cooperation”, which is planned to be held in the Fergana Valley in September 2025.
