Issues of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam were discussed

On April 5, Ilzat Kasymov, the Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Phan Thi Thang, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the press service of the Ministry reports.

During the conversation, key topics related to bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed. In particular, the successful collaboration with major Vietnamese companies, such as Mareven Food Holdings for the production of food products in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region, and ROX Group for the development of multifunctional residential complexes, was highlighted. The significance of enhancing cooperation in the areas of energy, geology, transportation, and tourism was also emphasized.

Following the discussions, a Plan of Practical Measures for the Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation for 2025-2026 was signed. This plan includes the scheduling of the eighth meeting of the Uzbek-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in the third quarter of this year, along with initiatives to ensure the high-quality preparation of upcoming visits at various levels.
