The first business forum was held with the participation of representatives of the khokimiyat and entrepreneurs of the Fergana and Surkhandarya regions, as well as large enterprises, firms and organizations of Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk region, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
The event was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Export Support Center of the Novosibirsk Region and the Investors Club of Siberia, the Urals and the Far East.
During the extended plenary session, Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development of the Novosibirsk Region Dmitry Grishunin especially noted the importance of developing and further improving trade and economic relations between the Novosibirsk Region and Uzbekistan, in particular, at the interregional level. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that this event brought together for the first time representatives of the business community of the Novosibirsk Region and two regions of Uzbekistan. It was emphasized that industrial cooperation with Uzbekistan today is of primary importance and has great prospects for development, largely determining the vector of all interregional interaction.
It was stated that the research and production enterprise of geophysical equipment ‘‘Luch’’, within the framework of the relevant memorandum signed in July 2024, is developing active cooperation with the enterprise ‘‘Petromaruz Uzbekistan’’, there is potential in the acquisition of granite and refractory blocks in the Surkhandarya region, as well as the supply of high-quality yarn, children’s and women’s clothing, the production of which has been established at the enterprise ‘‘Surxon Sifat Tekstil’’.
As for the partnership with the Fergana region, the Russian side emphasized the importance of establishing supplies, in addition to fruit and vegetable products, also of finished textiles and yarn from this region of Uzbekistan to the Novosibirsk region, increasing cooperation in the chemical sector, including the export of chemical raw materials from our country, etc.
Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov informed Novosibirsk entrepreneurs about the favorable conditions created for the work of foreign investors, including on the territory of the FEZ ‘‘Kokand’’, the conditions and procedure for entering the market of Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the matter of deliveries of products of Novosibirsk entrepreneurs to Afghanistan, through the unique opportunities of the Free Economic Zone ‘‘Ayritom’’.
In this regard, an agreement was reached on the issue of opening a separate exhibition pavilion of the Novosibirsk Region on the territory of the Free Economic Zone ‘‘Ayritom’’ by the Export Support Center of the Novosibirsk Region in early November this year, as well as organizing a business mission to the Surkhandarya Region to resolve all necessary issues of trade and economic cooperation.
At the same time, the Russian side agreed with the proposal of the delegation of the Fergana Region to jointly create an electronic platform for Uzbek products and raw materials, through which Novosibirsk entrepreneurs will be able to find goods from Uzbekistan that are most in demand on the market of this Russian region.
Also, the Russian side accepted for consideration the proposal of the Uzbek side regarding the creation of a permanent showroom of products from Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, focused on both retail and wholesale sales, and in the near future – trading houses of the Fergana and Surkhandarya regions in Novosibirsk. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development of the Novosibirsk Region is ready to provide all necessary assistance in creating a permanent warehouse of finished products from Uzbekistan at the showroom.
The representatives of the business community of the Novosibirsk Region who spoke then presented their business projects in such areas as agriculture, metallurgy, chemical industry, production of heating boilers, production of medical equipment and medical products, etc.
The special importance of organizing permanent business missions from the Novosibirsk Region to the Fergana and Surkhandarya Regions, which are the main trading partners of this Russian region, was emphasized.
