On June 9, on the eve of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with a delegation of leading companies from the United States of America, the press service of the head of our state reports.
The meeting was attended by US Assistant Secretary of State Eric Meyer, Chairman of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, Vice President of the International Development Finance Corporation Brez Bethany, as well as heads of Boeing, FLS, Visa, NASDAQ, Air Products, Franklin Templeton, Morgan Stanley, Coca-Cola and many others.
The head of our state noted with great satisfaction that the current meeting demonstrates the growing interest of American business in expanding its presence in Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for investment and innovation partnerships, promotion of specific projects for the development and processing of critical materials, in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and others.
The heads of leading American companies, thanking the President of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for the fruitful activities of investors, voiced their specific proposals and plans.
