The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of further expanding multifaceted cooperation with Kazakhstan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, who is participating in the events of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Olzhas Bektenov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the head of our state.

The parties discussed current issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance in the context of the agreements reached during the high-level meetings.

The steady growth of trade turnover was noted with satisfaction. Projects in the automotive, electrical engineering, textile, metallurgy, pharmaceutical industries, construction, and agriculture are being successfully implemented.

The importance of the adoption by the governments of the two countries of coordinated measures to increase trade turnover and form a long-term program of industrial cooperation in priority sectors, including at the regional level, was noted.
