The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of expanding practical cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

As part of the Tashkent Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the conversation, Adylbek Kasymaliev conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to the head of our state.

The issues of further deepening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, increasing trade volumes, expanding industrial cooperation, as well as intensifying interregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchanges were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to accelerating major regional projects in the field of energy and transport communications, including the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

The importance of fruitful holding of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Heads of Regions, scheduled for this year, was emphasized.
