The President of Uzbekistan received the Chinese delegation

On April 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the People’s Republic of China headed by the head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Liu Jianchao, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

During the meeting, issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation and practical interaction between Uzbekistan and China in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were discussed.

The highest level of Uzbek-Chinese relations of friendship and all-round strategic partnership achieved in recent years was noted with particular satisfaction.

The volumes of mutual trade and investment are steadily growing, the number of joint projects and enterprises with the participation of leading companies in priority sectors of the economy is increasing.

Practical work is underway on the project to build the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

High praise was given to intensive interregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange. The next Forum of Regions and Educational Forum will be held this year.

Particular attention was paid to the need to further expand inter-parliamentary and inter-party cooperation, especially in areas such as poverty reduction, the fight against corruption, accelerated digitalization and industrialization.

The importance of further developing cooperation in the field of higher and professional education was noted, including the opening of branches of leading Chinese universities in our country.
