President of Uzbekistan received Turkish delegation

On September 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of Turkey consisting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya and the Director of the National Intelligence Service of this country Ibrahim Kalin, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guests conveyed to the leader of our country sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The current issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and the development of multifaceted cooperation in the context of the implementation of the agreements of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkey on June 6-7 this year were discussed.

The fruitful results of the joint meeting of ministers and heads of departments of the two states, held today, were highly appreciated. The importance of continuing regular and systemic contacts in accordance with the adopted ‘‘road map’’, expanding the format and agenda of such negotiations was emphasized.

The issues of deepening political dialogue, promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation projects were discussed. Particular attention was paid to strengthening interdepartmental coordination and holding joint events to counter modern security challenges and threats.

An exchange of views on current aspects of regional interaction and cooperation within international organizations also took place.
