On April 23, in the city of Samarkand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, who is in our country on a working visit, the press service of the head of our state reports.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
During the conversation, topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Russian relations of friendship, comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in the context of the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level were discussed.
Active contacts and fruitful exchanges in all areas were noted with satisfaction. The volumes of trade and investment are growing. Cooperation between regions and leading industrial enterprises is strengthening. Interaction in the fields of culture, art, science, education, healthcare, sports and tourism is expanding.
An exchange of views on aspects of the regional and international agenda of mutual interest also took place.
