On the sidelines of the regular meeting of the Foreign Investors Council, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, the press service of the head of our state reports.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of Amea Power, Etihad Water & Electricity, TAQA Water Solutions, AD Ports and Masdar.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed to the head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister, Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid Al Nahyan.
The issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE in January of this year were discussed.
The dynamic development of the Uzbek-UAE strategic partnership was noted with deep satisfaction. The volume of trade and investment, the number of joint ventures, and the frequency of direct flights are growing.
The portfolio of projects with leading Emirati companies has exceeded $20 billion. A number of new agreements with Emirati companies were signed within the framework of the fourth Tashkent Investment Forum.
An agreement was reached to accelerate the advancement of major projects in the fields of energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, healthcare, education, urban development, water supply and other areas.
