The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed current issues of practical cooperation

On April 3, on the sidelines of the summit in Samarkand, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the press service of the head of our state reports.

They discussed current issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance in the context of the agreements reached during the recent informal meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Almaty.

They noted the importance of the adoption by the governments of the two countries of coordinated measures to increase trade turnover, promote economic projects and humanitarian programs, including at the regional level.

It was agreed to accelerate work on the launch of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation.

They also exchanged views on the regional agenda, and reviewed the schedule of events at the highest level.
