Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the implementation of joint projects

On March 18, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held a telephone conversation, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The leaders exchanged warm congratulations and sincere wishes for peace and prosperity to the fraternal peoples in connection with the upcoming holiday of spring and renewal – Navruz.

The head of Uzbekistan also congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan on the successful completion of negotiations and the signing of an agreement on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

The issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level were discussed, in particular, projects of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of trade, industrial cooperation, logistics, energy, agriculture, tourism and other priority areas.

The importance of accelerating large regional projects for the development of transport, transit and energy infrastructure was noted.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan specifically focused on the preparations for the upcoming trilateral summit, as well as the Central Asia-EU summit and the Climate Forum in the city of Samarkand.
