A package of documents aimed at further development of comprehensive Uzbek-Iranian cooperation was adopted

At the end of the talks at the highest level, the ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held, the press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi signed a Joint Statement on strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, during the visit, 15 documents were adopted at the level of governments, departments and regions.

Among them are the Agreement between governments on preferential trade, the Cooperation Program between the Agency for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan and the National Standard Organization of Iran, the Action Plan for cooperation in the field of technology and innovation.

Memorandums of cooperation were adopted in the field of creating joint free economic zones, pharmaceuticals, transport and transit.

A plan of joint measures in the field of sports, a memorandum of understanding in the field of dispute resolution and arbitration, an optional agreement on cooperation in the field of reinsurance and other documents were also signed.
