Uzbekistan and Türkiye expand cooperation in trade, economic and investment areas

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey held a round table with the Turkey-Uzbekistan Committee of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Council (FERC), the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

The event was attended by Uzbek diplomats and a delegation of FERC members headed by the Chairman of the Committee Ozgur Onur Ozguven.

The main goal of the meeting was to further expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey in trade, economic and investment spheres.

FERC members emphasized the high potential of Uzbekistan in such areas as energy, agriculture, construction and information technology. They stated their readiness to hold joint events, as well as meetings in the G2B and B2B formats to discuss the prospects for cooperation in these areas.

The initiative to hold a series of webinars “12 months, 12 regions” during 2025 was highly appreciated.

‘‘In the first half of the year, we successfully implemented meaningful events together with the Bukhara, Khorezm, Namangan, Jizzakh, Samarkand regions and the Tashkent city administration. As a result, we reached specific agreements and plan to organize visits of interested companies to Uzbekistan’’, – said Ozgur Onur Ozgyuven.

At the end of the event, a high mutual interest was expressed in projects in the field of public-private partnership and the mining industry, planned for implementation in Uzbekistan today. FERC also declared its readiness to provide comprehensive support in organizing visits of delegations headed by heads of organizations to Turkey, holding joint events and ensuring the participation of potentially interested Turkish companies.
