On October 9, 2023, negotiations took place between “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” JSC, the Chinese bank “Eximbank China” and the Chinese company “CNTIC”, the Information and Analytical Media Center of “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” JSC reports. During the meeting, the importance of long-term cooperation and financial support for projects that contribute to the development of both countries was emphasized.
The meeting was conducted by acting Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” JSC A. Kamiljanov. On behalf of “Eximbank China” and “CNTIC”, the head of the department of the Sovereign Business Department, Ye Lingrong, and the vice president of “CNTIC”, Yu Chunhiao, were present.
The Chinese side presented information on long-term cooperation with “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” JSC, focusing on financing projects that could help deepen Sino-Uzbek relations. Particular attention was paid to the financing of the China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan (CKU) project, where the stages of railway development in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
Financing the construction of the railway in Kyrgyzstan is of great importance as it helps strengthen transit links between China and Europe. In light of China’s growing economic power and financial resources, such a project becomes an important step in the development of the region’s transport infrastructure.
This meeting highlights the commitment of both sides to strengthen cooperation in various fields and continues to strengthen the friendly relations between China and Uzbekistan. Cooperation in the field of railway transport is an important factor for the development of the economies of both countries and the creation of favorable conditions for trade and investment.
