The third day of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, organized under the coordination of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, opened with a meeting titled “Uzbekistan – UAE: Strategic Partnership in Investments and Innovation”, the press service of the MIIT reports.
The event aimed to deepen investment cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while promoting new opportunities in innovation. The meeting facilitated a direct dialogue between government officials and private sector representatives, exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
Representing Uzbekistan was Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, while the UAE delegation was led by Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister Khodjaev expressed satisfaction with the meeting’s inclusion in the forum and thanked Minister Al Mazrouei for his visit.
“I would like to highlight that the idea of holding this meeting as part of the fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum was endorsed by the leadership of both countries as early as January this year. This initiative reaffirms the high level of political will and mutual interest between our nations,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
Minister Al Mazrouei, recalling Uzbekistan’s historic qualification for the World Cup after matches against the UAE and Qatar during the qualifiers, began his remarks by congratulating Uzbekistan on this achievement.
“Our relationship exemplifies the cooperation between two strategic partners and like-minded nations. His Highness, the leader of the UAE, has urged us to expand our activities in Uzbekistan. I always say: there are no limits to this. We cannot restrict investments. The more opportunities there are, the more we will invest, collaborate, and strive to unlock new possibilities while addressing challenges between the parties,” stated the Minister.
The meeting identified promising joint projects between the two countries and introduced new investment opportunities. Private sector representatives received answers to their questions and practical recommendations from experts. Following the forum, specific steps aimed at further developing cooperation between state and business representatives and increasing the overall economic potential were outlined.
Furthermore, within the framework of the event, a number of new cooperation agreements in various fields were signed, aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE and implementing joint projects. The meeting is expected to serve as a catalyst for economic growth in both countries and expand collaboration in innovative fields.
