On June 24 of this year, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akram Aliev took part in the Uzbekistan–Malaysia Business Forum, held within the framework of the visit of the Malaysian government delegation, the press service of the Ministry reports.
The event was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov and Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia — Minister for Energy Transition and Water Resources Transformation Fadillah bin Yusof.
During the forum, investment opportunities in Uzbekistan were presented, and the participants discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in areas such as energy, tourism, pharmaceuticals, and trade.
The Malaysian delegation included heads of relevant ministries and business representatives, including companies such as “Five Petroleum”, “KK Mart”, “Chiya”, “Stone Kingdom”, “Lestary Energy”, “Aries Engineering Consultants”, “MSG Green Energy”, “Xepa Soul Plattinson”, “Asetana Trillions”, and others.
As part of the forum, a signing ceremony was held for documents in the fields of oil and gas, agriculture, and trade. The agreements provide for the creation of joint ventures, the development of sustainable production, and the promotion of products to regional markets.
B2B and B2G meetings were also organized, involving representatives of business circles and government bodies from both countries.
