Uzbek-Emirati business forum was held in Abu Dhabi

A business forum dedicated to the economic, investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in Abu Dhabi, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan jointly with the Eurasian Gulf Association and the ‘‘Capital Club Dubai’’. It was attended by more than 40 representatives of business circles and financial organizations of the UAE in the fields of medicine, transport, construction, sports management and consulting.

The main goal of the forum is to inform the UAE business community about large-scale reforms being implemented in our country and new investment opportunities that are opening up.

The event provided information on the liberalization of the economy, simplification of the tax system and privatization of state enterprises, the activities of the Foreign Investors Council, digitalization of more than 400 services and other results of the reforms.

The participants were given explanations about the possibilities of cooperation in the energy, mining and geology, pharmaceuticals, textile and construction sectors, and promising investment projects were presented.

Following the forum, agreements were reached on the beginning of acceleration of practical work in the sphere of trade, economic, tourism and investment cooperation, development of new projects, creation of necessary conditions for increasing the volume of mutual trade.

The participants of the event were shown advertising materials telling about the rich cultural heritage, tourism and investment potential of Uzbekistan, and also discussed issues related to the organization of visits to Uzbekistan by representatives of a number of Emirati companies.
