A delegation of women entrepreneurs led by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan N. Shotursunova actively participated in the II Trade and Investment Cooperation Exhibition and Forum between Turkic States, which was held in Baku on June 10-12, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan reports.
Academic, investment-startup and media sessions were organized within the framework of the forum. They discussed issues of historical and cultural ties, the development of the digital economy and the formation of information policy in the Turkic world.
A special panel session on the topic of the “Turkic World Businesswomen Summit” was also held within the framework of the event.
At the session, the participants exchanged in-depth views on the role of Turkish women in the economy, their participation in innovative initiatives and startups, integration processes through education and culture, as well as opportunities and existing obstacles in business.
At the end of 2024, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with the member countries of the Turkic States Organization reached $8.3 billion, of which $3.1 billion was exports and $4.9 billion was imports.
