Another major project with foreign direct investment will be implemented in the Karakul region. A memorandum of agreement was signed between “Semanti Limited” of the Republic of Cyprus and the free economic zone “Karakul”. This was reported by the correspondent of “yuz.uz”.
In accordance with the agreement, it is planned to build a plant for the production of agricultural ammonia and carbamide with a total cost of 600 million US dollars on 55 hectares of land in the Karakul free economic zone.
As a result of the launch of this investment project, the production of 1,500 tons of ammonia and 1,800 tons of urea per day will be achieved.
This project, which is planned to create 500 new jobs, is planned to be fully commissioned in 2023-2026.
