Issues of holding the first Uzbek-Saudi forum of business women were discussed in Jeddah

Consul General of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Shamsuddinov met with Secretary General of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ramiz Mansur al-Ghalib, ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the possibilities of broad promotion of the economic potential of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia, attracting foreign investment to our country, establishing contacts between businesswomen of the two countries.

The Consul General spoke about support for entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, creating conditions for women entrepreneurs, as well as about major projects implemented with the participation of foreign countries, in particular Saudi Arabia, the economic and tourism potential of our country, the international exhibition ‘‘Build Pro Expo 2025’’.

Secretary General Ramiz Mansour Al-Ghalib praised the number of investment projects implemented in Uzbekistan by Saudi companies such as ‘‘Acwa Power’’, ‘‘DataVolt’’ and ‘‘Vision’’, noting that this encourages other large Saudi companies and entrepreneurs to invest in our country.

The proposal to organize the first meeting of businesswomen of the two countries was supported at the meeting. The representative of Saudi Arabia confirmed Jeddah’s readiness to host the first Uzbek-Saudi forum of businesswomen.

The forum plans to organize an exhibition ‘‘Made in Uzbekistan’’ and a tourism and craft fair under the slogan ‘‘Welcome to Uzbekistan’’.
