A meeting was held at the pharmaceutical Agency with the representatives of French company ‘‘Sanofi’’

On July 14, 2025, a meeting was held between the Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, Abdulla Azizov, and representatives of the ‘‘Sanofi’’ company, the press service of the Agency reports.

The meeting discussed issues related to establishing contract production in Uzbekistan. In particular, views were exchanged on assessing local production potential, effective use of existing capacities, and mechanisms for practical cooperation with local partners.

One of the main topics of discussion was the issue of vaccine production in two directions. In order to implement the project, an agreement was reached to initially start work in a test system and launch a pilot project. Opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of clinical trials and research (R&D) were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that ‘‘Sanofi’’ would prepare its business plan and implementation schedule within the project and submit it to the Uzbek side.
