An additional site has been created in Guangzhou for the export of products manufactured in Uzbekistan to China

With the support of the Embassy of our country in the PRC and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou, an online training seminar was held, which was attended by representatives of the Chinese Food Import Association (IFA) and 20 domestic exporting enterprises, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The purpose of the event was to discuss the increase in exports of Uzbek products to China.

It should be noted that the IFA, established in 2016, is a large regional organization of the PRC, which includes more than 400 major importers of South China. Over the years, IFA has accumulated a broad resource base of importers/distributors/supermarkets/chains and new retail channels in a number of areas, providing targeted assistance to foreign brands/exporters and manufacturers in the development of the Chinese market.

At the event, Consul General Otabek Valiev acquainted the participants with the trade and economic opportunities, investment potential of our country, as well as the favorable conditions created for doing business. It was noted that in recent years, regular meetings between the leaders of the two countries and the open pragmatic policy of Uzbekistan have opened up great opportunities for all business representatives.

During the online event, an agreement was signed on mutual cooperation between the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan and the Guangdong Association of Imported Food Products. The document was signed by Yorkin Malikov, Chairman of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan, and Wolfgang Chi, President of IFA.

Through this agreement, with the participation of the parties, another important platform was created for exporting enterprises of our country to establish relationships with importers of Chinese territories and increase the volume of exports of products manufactured and processed in Uzbekistan.

During his speech, the IFA President said that the Chinese side is ready to regularly hold such significant events as B2B and B2C together with the Uzbekistan Exporters Association. “It is a great honor for our Association to contribute to the development of trade, economic and cultural cooperation between China and Uzbekistan”,- Wolfgang Chi said.

During the training seminar, Uzbek entrepreneurs received answers to all their questions, as well as useful information about the possibility of establishing direct contact with importers within the IFA and entering the markets of Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hunan and Hainan province in southern China and increasing the volume of mutually beneficial export contracts.
