Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev met with the head of the transport and logistics company TCS Khalid Awan in the Pakistani city of Karachi, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
During the meeting, issues of ensuring the systemic nature of trade relations between the two countries, mechanisms for the timely and high-quality delivery of goods, and the full use of the transport and transit potential of Uzbekistan and Pakistan were discussed.
The head of TCS warmly recalled the meeting with the President of Uzbekistan in March 2022 and expressed full support for the head of state’s initiative on interregional cooperation.
‘‘The initiative on the interconnectivity of Central and South Asia will serve to fully utilize the potential of the transit and transport hubs of Uzbekistan and Pakistan, rationally use the potential of air, road and rail infrastructure, as well as maximize the volume of bilateral trade’’, – he said.
The Pakistani side expressed its readiness to open cargo air service between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and create broad opportunities for the transportation of perishable products that need to be delivered in a short time. The head of the company also stated that he plans to establish relations with our country based on the experience of cooperation with European and American countries in the field of tourism.
