A business forum dedicated to the economic potential of Uzbekistan was held in Shenzhen, China

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan together with the Belt and Road Environmental Technology Exchange and Transfer Center (BRETTC) organized a business forum on the topic “Bukhara region – Shenzhen: trade, economic, investment and tourism cooperation”, the correspondent of the “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The event was attended by representatives of the khokimiyat and business circles of the Bukhara region, as well as more than 60 Chinese companies, industry associations working in such areas as “green” energy, pharmaceuticals and medicine, building materials, electrical engineering, agriculture.

During the presentations, detailed information was provided on the economic potential of the regions of Uzbekistan, in particular the Bukhara region, the existing infrastructure, promising industries, measures to support foreign investors, as well as the system of benefits and preferences created in free economic zones.

The round table, dedicated to the prospects for the development of the furniture industry in the Bukhara region, discussed issues of organizing joint events and implementing promising projects with the participation of more than 10 local companies.

Following the event, the BRETTC Center reached an agreement on developing campaigns to promote the investment attractiveness of the Bukhara region in China, as well as on organizing business missions of groups consisting of local enterprises to Uzbekistan.
