A meeting of the Uzbek-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission was held in Minsk

On June 18 this year, the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ochilboy Ramatov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.

The event was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Khalimjon Safarov.

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus in 2024 reached 620.1 million US dollars (+ 14.8%). The main export goods are industrial products, finished goods, food and transport equipment. Imports mainly consist of food, mechanical engineering, chemical products and industrial raw materials.

During the event, topical issues of bilateral cooperation in such areas as industrial cooperation, transport communications, agriculture, interregional partnership, healthcare, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their mutual readiness for the consistent development of trade and economic cooperation. The final protocol of the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission was also signed.
