A number of infrastructure projects are being implemented in Tashkent

On May 4 this year, a working group headed by the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Olimkhon Rustamov visited a number of industrial and infrastructure facilities in Tashkent to study the existing problems. This was reported by the press service of the MIIT.

During the visit to General Motors Powertrain Uzbekistan, the group members got acquainted with the processes of machining and production of parts, assembling and testing cars. The management of the plant was given proposals to deepen the level of localization of currently produced and newly acquired new types of automobile engines.

The working group also visited the Salar treatment infrastructure facility serving 6 districts of the capital – Sergeli, Yangikhetsky, Yashnabad, Mirabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek and Yakkasaray.

During the visit to the facility, it was noted that the increase in processing volumes observed in recent years requires the modernization of equipment in order to maintain the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the facility’s productivity at the proper level. In this regard, it is planned to build a modern treatment facility with a capacity of 1.5 million m3 per day in the area of the Surum multifunctional facility of the Kuyichirchik district of the Tashkent region. For the design and construction of the project, direct investments from a private partner will be attracted, to which the facility will be transferred for management for a period of 25 years.

During the visit to the enterprises of Sirdaryo qurilish mantaj LLC and Greens Residences LLC, a dialogue was held with entrepreneurs who shared emerging problems that hinder plans to expand production, including on the territory of a small industrial zone in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent. An algorithm for resolving issues was developed on the spot, and targeted instructions were given to responsible persons for its implementation.

The working group continues its work in the capital and regions of the country.
